Straight out of Penelope Featherington’s closet, this 1960s does Victorian vintage party dress is such a rare beauty with its sheer polka dot cape layer! Made of butter yellow linen and matching sheer polka dot lace, this dress is meant for the English countryside, or wherever your next garden party is hosted. The under layer of this maxi dress has a fitted bodice, the lace layer is fitted at the bust but releases at the back shoulders so the lace falls off the body in a cape effect. On the front of the dress, the lace hangs loose from below the empire waist and armpits from the short cap sleeves. The lace layer is loose and falls wider than the slip layer below, but the slip does also flare out at the waist and is not a full sheath. The lace layer is finished with a linen band trim across the bottom of the dress and a linen bow accentuates the fitted bust. There is a long zipper with hook and eye closure in back with a long slit for the lace layer to hang freely around it.

Condition: Excellent! There is only one tiny flaw, one of the polka dots has an extremely small dot stain on the back middle right of the dress, shown in photos. Absolutely stunning condition otherwise!
