This late 1930s early 1940s rayon maxi slip hangs beautifully and is just stunning! This silky, slinky nightgown is a peach/pink and has beautiful lace details. This late 30s early 40s negligee is full length and cut on the bias. Antique lace lines the ruched cap sleeves, armpits, front neckline, and bottom hem of the dress. There are tiny pale pink and pale blue rosettes that adorn the lace bust detail as well as the layered kick pleats at the bottom of the gown. The ruching on the cap sleeves is not elastic and has no stretch, nor does the pleating at the shoulders or under the bust. The lace appliqués on the bust are sheer and unlined. Two long sashes hang from the low bust to be tied in the back and cinch the dress for a more secure fit.
This lovely slip can be worn as a dress or a nightgown! Also perfect for lounging around the house in style, or being sexy in the boudoir!

Condition: Very good but shows some wear given the age of this item. There are dark marks at the top of the right shoulder that are more noticeable on the underside of the fabric, as well as dark marks at the bottom of the dress between the lace kick pleats, both shown in photos. The fabric overall has some texture imperfections due to the delicate nature of the fabric, but there are no tears or holes. The tie straps are also slightly uneven, but overall this negligee is in wonderful wearable condition!
