This is such a stunning vintage 1940s petit point embroidered floral handbag! This petit point Morabito purse features silver and rhinestone accents, and a pull closure that works like a charm! This little pocketbook has English roses and flower embroidery on the handle, sides and bottom of the bag as well.

This immaculate vintage 40s handbag is rare, collectable, and a piece of history: See the note that came with the bag, It was purchased in Paris at the end of WWII.

This lovely little bag is in stunning condition. It comes from a woman's mothers collection that I acquired. I have over 75 of her vintage and antique handbags wallets and compacts from the 1900s to the 1950s! Keep and eye out for all the lovely handbags I will be listing...

Morabito is a French luxury brand founded in 1905 in Nice by Jean-Baptiste Morabito, and still operating in Paris today. The workmanship and design were always of the very highest quality and standard, on a par with Hermes, often with unusual clasps and fittings. Marilyn Monroe and Maria Callas were amongst the celebrities for whom these special bags were created. The current shop is in Rue Saint-Honore, Paris.

Condition: Exterior excellent. Lining has a rip at pouch obscuring label, but still readable.
